False positive alarms emitting from a battery operated residential CO alarm are a common and often misunderstood problem. Understanding CO levels in your home can save your health and even life but don't automatically assume that when your detector sounds an alarm that you should run for the hills or buy expensive new heating equipment. A little detective work on your part can save you a lot of needless worry or money!
